marron – freshwater crayfish – a KI icon and Two Wheeler Creek Wines, along with speciality bush tucker sauces and more are not to be missed in the heart of KI.
The Marron Cafe offers mouth-watering marron dishes from our well-known chef Joe Hunter and his team but equally superb steak, chicken and daily special dishes in very relaxing surroundings. The marron farm is one of Australia’s largest with farm-fresh stock always on hand for the cafe.
What would great food be without delicious wine? To not disappoint - our Two Wheeler Creek Sauvignon Blanc is
stunning and one of the best on the Island as well as ideal to accompany
marron. To suit other palates there is an award-winning chardonnay, a sparkling chardonnay and a new release sweeter chardonnay. The cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and a sparkling cabernet/shiraz blend are also popular with red devotees. An extra specialty is a lemon
myrtle liqueur made from farm-grown lemon myrtle. We often have visitors complimenting us on “one of the best meals they have had for some time!” Even locals come for birthdays or family functions or just lazy weekend lunches. “We are child-friendly.”
The Marron Shed with the holding tanks also contains our cellar door. Interesting marron life

presented plus farmgate marron sales.
Wine tastings and sales are available at the cellar door and often help visitors to choose a wine for lunch. Groups are welcome by arrangement.
