January 24: SES, CFS, Ambulance and police attended a roadside crash on Hog Bay Rd. The man and woman from Kingscote were assessed by SAAS members at the scene and taken to Kingscote hospital for precautionary reasons. The Mazda 4WD was driven off the road near Prospect Hill causing about $15,000 damage.
January 16: A Parndana man, 34, was issued with a traffic infringement notice while driving on the Playford Hwy and failing to dip headlights.
January 20: Police attended a non-suspicious grass fire around the ETSA sub-station at Penneshaw. About one-quarter of a hectare of grass was burnt which started from a spark from the overhead power lines. There was no damage.
January 21: Police issued a traffic infringement notice to a MacGillivray man, 39, for failing to secure a child under the age of 16 in a seat belt while driving his dual cab on Telegraph Rd.
January 22: Police attended a fire on Harriet Rd, Vivonne Bay where 25 hectares were burnt. There was about 1km of fencing burnt causing $2500 damage.
January 23: Police were called to power lines found draped across the American River Rd near Muston Hill. It was established a light aircraft had clipped power lines crossing the road causing power failure to American River for several hours. ETSA crews repaired the damage and the pilot from Victoria was spoken to. The aircraft sustained only slight damage and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau will be investigating the matter.
A Police report was taken from a Kingscote man, 36, who had his vehicle etched by an unknown person while parked at the Gourmet Gallop at Cygnet River. There was $1000 damage.
January 24: Police attended premises on Turkey Lane and located 21 cannabis plants growing in soil at the rear of the property. Police are continuing the investigations.
CFS and police were called to a Kingscote address from a 000 call from the occupant who had a stove top fire. The occupant quickly extinguished the flames with a fire blanket before any serious damage was done to the premises.
