Crews stop grass fire at Cygnet River

Police with the CFS attended a non-suspicious grass fire which

occurred on a property on the

Aranmore Road on Friday, March 5.

The fire was started possibly by a spark from a tractor. Ten large round bales of hay were lost valued at $300.

March 5: A 31-year-old Kingscote man was reported for exceeding the presrcibed concentration of alcohol with a reading of 0.149. His vehicle was impounded and he lost his

licence for six months.

Traffic offences

March 6: A Gosse man was

reported for driving an unlicenced, unregistered and uninsured vehicle while driving on Playford Hwy, west of Parndana,

A 50-year-old Stokes Bay man was reported for driving on Playford Highway, Cygnet River for exceeding the speed limit. He was driving 113 kph in a 100 kph zone.

Arrest

March 7: A 26-year-old Wisanger man was arrested for having insecure ammunition and firearm, and was unlicensed. The firearm and

ammunition were later seized by the police. Also, a 27-year-old Kingscote man was arrested for assault and property damage.
