You can have your say on the services provided by Regional Express Airlines.
The Kangaroo Island Development Board has called for regular users of the Rex air service to Adelaide to have their say on schedules and service from the airline.
A short survey has been designed in consultation with Tourism Kangaroo Island and the SA Tourism Commission and is available at the board’s website at www.kangarooisland.org.
KIDB chief executive officer Pierre Gregor said the survey had been established since Air South left the market a few weeks ago, leaving Rex the sole provider of air services to and from the island.
“This is an opportunity for airline users to provide some information about how they use the service and any improvements they would like to see,” Mr Gregor said.
“We’re particularly keen to know if the flight times as they stand are what the island needs,” Mr Gregor said.
He said the survey results would be passed on to Rex.
There had been some feedback even before the survey that suggested a mid-afternoon flight would be useful to the tourism industry, to help travellers connect to and from domestic and international flights.
Rex currently operates two return flights in the morning and two in the evening and has recently been scheduling an extra late evening flight on some days depending on demand.
“Rex is keen to have the feedback about schedules and service and we will be working with them on this,” Mr Gregor said.
