Another beautiful Saturday saw Kingscote meet Wisanger on their home ground.
A valiant effort from Wisanger Colts saw both young teams in a close match for the earlier part of the game but Kingscote pulled away.
The B Grade was a different affair with Wisanger taking an early lead, which they managed to keep throughout the game to come out in front.
A very different game to the last time these rivals met.
In the A Grade both teams played well from the beginning.
In the first quarter Kingscote’s back lines stopped most of Wisanger’s advances, while Kingscote players made space and ran hard to get through Wisanger’s defence.
Scud helped to put Kingscote into an early lead, as did Scott Walden who made marked well and made the good decisions.
Damon Tyley, coming up from Colts again, continued to prove his worth and so did Jason, both fighting hard for the ball.
Norm kept in front of his man to score the first goal for Wisanger.
The second quarter saw a small catch up from Wisanger, both teams getting a bit fiery and good pressure on ball holders.
Scud continued to be a ball magnet, while Dustin Curtis continually fought hard for the ball and Paul Green ran hard to get the ball all quarter.
Jason Fryar and Quarter repeatedly made space, while Leonard and Norm worked hard in the forward lines to give Wisanger a boost on the scoreboard.
Jake Lee made many efforts for the ball.
In the third quarter Kingscote continued to play well, attacking early.
Dustin continued to be an asset for his team and was very hard to hold onto.
Ant Lee tackled hard and got a goal for his troubles, on top of a very lucky checkside.
Norm was on fire this quarter, marking, tackling and attacking the ball hard.
The fourth quarter saw both teams attacking early and good passages of play.
Ant Lee and Paul Green continued run hard and find the ball.
Yogi rucked and played well all game and Norm just kept fighting all game.
In the end Kingscote came out on top in a very well played game.
