Western Districts v Kingscote

The Gosse mist rolled in just for Eli Whales’ special day – Happy 30th Buddy! The game started with great pressure by both sides. Wonks quickly opened with Steve Holland feeding to Rick Morris (lovely suntan by the way) and scoring.

Well done to Kingscote’s centres trying to get the ball to their forwards. Ben Lock was giving his all in defence. A Great start by the Western Districts team. WD 8-06 v K 00-02 at quarter time.

Second quarter started fast with Rick and Caeleb scoring. Sam Correll was playing fast as usual and saw most of the play in Wonks’ forward line. Eli Whale was also having a great day out.

Zak Edwards and Will Crump were working tirelessly for Kingscote. Luke Ramsay as usual was taking nice marks for the Dogs which resulted in a much needed goal.

Lang Wilmott for Wonks was going in hard and playing awesome football.

The second half started with high emotions. Greg Bald took a nice mark early to score for Wonks. Joshie Graham was showing immense talent as always.

The Dogs giving their all, trying to get the ball into the forwards but to no avail, it was Wonkies playing all the way.

The last quarter was set up to be a beauty out West. Unfortunately, the Dogs had to pull something out of the air to get ahead in this game.

Jack Correll, Luke Hacker and Anthony Anderson played out a solid game once again, great to see future talent out West.

The Wonkies boys were playing tight fast footy but Greeny for the dogs was trying his hardest up against a dominant Rick Morris.

The Wonks “A” Grade had a great day out in the West making a happy, happy birthday for Captain Eli.

An undermanned Kingscote side just couldn’t take the strong play the West End boys dished out.
