Hog Bay v Wisanger

The Razorbacks hosted Wisanger on an overcast but fine day. Batting first, the Razorbacks got off to a great start with the first five batsmen all retiring. The rest of the team all did their bit to reach a good total of 168. The best bowlers for Wisanger were R. Thomas, 1/3, T. Thomas, 1/17 and J Church 1/21.

Wisanger started well in their run chase. Bridget Patterson and Liam Sampson batting well against a strong bowling attack until Bridget got out on 18. Liam went on to make 21 and was also well supported by B Smith who also made 20.

Hog Bay brought on their “destroyer”, Rhett Montgomerie who got 4/9 in his 3 overs. Hog Bay’s other top bowlers were Brent Kirby 2/17, James Page, 1/3 and Ruby Gurney, 1/5. Wisanger were all out for 129.

With a couple of weeks off the kids can recharge and Hog Bay will come out fresh against Parndana at home on the 12th December.

MacGillivray v

Western Districts

Fine weather treating the colts to a good morning of cricket. MacGillivray won the toss and elected to bat.

Damon and Jake getting off to a good start, but tight bowling by the Western Districts side had them both out before retiring, and with limited runs scored after, with the exception of Brodie Havelberg they had a score of 99, it was going to take tight bowling and fielding to keep the Western Districts side down but with the openers Lloyd and Lucas both retiring and Tye, Jack and Nick also retiring the Western Districts side comfortably ended up with a score of 143.
