Parndna v Western Districts
Conditions were cold and windy at Parndana for the A grade clash.
Considering the recent rain, the oval was in good condition.
The game began with the usual tight, hard opening between the traditional rivals.
Both defences were on top early until B Lock scored the first goal of the game from a free.
Parndana responded immediately from the ensuing ball up with S Matthews snapping truly.
Parndana then dominated the last ten minutes of the quarter with goals to T Wurst, M Mills, D Westbrook and T May on the siren.
The second quarter was a dour struggle with disciplined defence from both sides.
Spectators seemed more concerned about keeping the wood on the fire drum than the footy as an icy scud of rain deteriorated playing conditions.
In the third quarter, the talented hard-working R Morris opened the scoring for Western Districts.
The rest of the quarter was dominated by Parndana scoring five unanswered goals until R Morris snapped his second.
B May was rucking well for Parndana with rovers S Matthews and I Sullivan getting two goals each for the quarter.
S Short, J Graham and A Waddell were prominent for Western Districts.
A great mark to R Morris, pass to brother Darren who converted, scored Western District's fourth goal.
Parndana dominated the territory in the last quarter. Tenacious defence from Western Districts and inaccuracy from Parndana resulted in only two goals in this quarter, one to N Trethewey and one to Western District's P Joraslafsky.
This was a good win to Parndana to consolidate top position, with two tough matches to come before the finals.

A Very even first quarter, good tackling form Mark Cooper kept Parndana in touch.
Wal, Super and SK linked up well in the forward line to give Parndana their first major.
Second quarter an early goal from big Wal in the pocket was the start Parndana wanted.
Corey Hammett kicked true to keep Wonks just in front.
Hans in a paddock to full forward resulted in another Parndana goal.
Good teamwork kept Dana in front.
Third quarter a goal flurry from Dana saw them open a three-goal break.

Great defence from Libby and Mallee saw Wonks kept to one goal in the quarter.
A very hard fought last quarter saw Wonks put a lot of pressure on Parndana.
Parndana slowed down to let Wonks kick a couple of quick goals.
They continued to put the pressure on and ended up eventual winners by one point.
Colts
Western Districts v Parndana
First quarter Parndana had early rain but cleared just in time for the colts game.
Parndana drew first blood with a goal Zane McMulkin from good team play in very slippery conditions; both sides were showing excellent skills.
Zac Crisso marked well inside 50, played on quickly and found Tyson Barter for another goal, Parndana were looking good.
Western Districts got a timely goal on the siren for their first of the quarter to Lucas Boyle.
Second quarter Western Districts started this quarter well doing all the attacking finally breaking through for a nice Goal to Jake Nolan, in what seemed to be the scoring end.
Ant Anderson led well and goaled from 30m, Wonks were looking good. Another clever snap from Lucas Boyle.
Western Districts seemed to be getting the upper edge; Damon Weatherspoon was having a big influencer on the game at this stage and WD goaled again.
Parndana kept trying but couldn’t seem to penetrate their forward 50.
Third quarter even first five minutes, Hans Sullivan burst through the pack and kicks forward long into space.
Ned Speed finished off with a goal, Western Districts defending well.

L Hallier kicks to A Anderson who kicks true, WD up by three goals.
Fourth quarter Sam H kicks short to J Kelly who kicks to J Gaskin into space and picks out H Sullivan who goals.
L Boyle takes good mark and kicks to J Norms, who couldn’t quite make the distance.
WD looking dangerous with K Hammat marking and kicking deep but only registering point.
Jack Correll marks 30m out and kicks true giving WD breathing space.
A Anderson marks and kicks a long bomb to shore up four goal lead and a win in slippery conditions.
