Parndana v Wisanger
Wisanger opened the scoring with a goal into the breeze from Cody Schutz but Parndana replied quickly with a Tom Wurst left foot snap after a slick Michael Mills handball. Damon Tyley kicked an on-the-run checkside goal showing a touch of class. Next it was Parndana’s turn with Nathan Trethewey on the burst kicking truly. Down came the rain to go with the windy conditions but it didnt’t prevent a good long set shot by Ben Gaskin. Parndana 3-3 to Wisanger 2-0 at quarter time.
Raining still, Parndana won the centre with steady play through Imran and Millsy to spot up Wursty for his 2nd goal.
Parndana continuing to attack Nathan Trethewey hitting full forward resulting in a front and centre rover’s goal to brother Damien. Wisanger still fighting and Pete Collins snapped truly, followed by another Chewy snap in the square for Parndana.
Play continued in the forward lines for Parndana and Jamie Heinrich delivered to Simon Windsor for a goal then Imran Sullivan to Windsor for another, Parndana winning the centre, Nathan dominant.
Chewy kicked a set shot from the scoreboard, raining steadily and Tom Wurst a 2nd left foot goal and finally Simon Windsor kicked his third after good work on the ground from the Sullivan brothers. It was Parndana’s quarter. Half time score, Parndana 11-1- to Wisanger 3-0.
The third quarter saw Zac Trethewey with a long centre break hit Simon Windsor in the square but the set shot was off line, however Zac followed up his work and snapped for a goal soon after.
Craig Turner deep in defence for Wisanger was playing well and Jason Fryar was battling hard.
Hahns Sullivan was next to goal aided by a good shepherd by Millsy in the line.
Wisanger moved Quarter into midfield with immediate results but Parndana’s defence was too strong repelling their attack and resulting in Chewy having a set shot for goal no.4.
Next it was Wisanger’s turn with a series of nice passes from Nash, Sam and Jason to see Damon Tyley kick a good set shot from the pocket for his second goal. Chris Smith brke clear resulting in a mark and goal to quarter. Three quarter time P 15-13 to Wis 5-4.
Zach Trethewey passed to Millsy who kicked straight for his first goal then Wisanger repliled with a goal to Andrew Turner and another to Khyal Stead after some good work by Pete Collins on the wing.
Brad May and Adam Trowbridge were having a good contest in the ruck. Wisanger continued its momentum with a goal to Rob Ellson after a 50m penalty.
Parndana was next to goal with Millsy receiving a handball and goaling. Wisanger attacked again but Andrew Turner missed from directly in front. Wisanger kept at it and tall man Schutz goaled from a good mark in the square. Parndana’s turn next with a goal to Zac Trethewey then Nathan and Millsy. Final score P 20-16 to W 9-3.

Wisanger won the toss and kicked with the breeze with Rock Cod goaling from a long way out to open proceedings. Parndana fought back and Daniel Dunstan continued his good form at full forward kicking 3 goals for the quarter. Will Decru kicked a goal from the top of the goal square to make it 3 goals to 2 at the 1st break.
The 2nd quarter was scrappy with Will Decru and Greg Waite solid in the defence for Wisanger and Rod Kelly and Ash Ness playing well for Parndana.
No goals scored, still Parndana 3-1 to Wis 2-2.
Light rain after half time just helped keep the game messy but Andrew Bennett in his comeback game was racking up possessions on his wing, setting up a goal to super. Wisanger replied with a goal to Greg Waite. Sid Lockett celebrating game No. 351 was cutting off Wisanger’s forward thrusts and his good foot skills to Daniel Dunstan resulted in Tyson Barter goaling.
Dunstan goaled after a good tap from Ashley Kelly, Peter Burgess and Jayden Kingi playing well for Wisanger. Three quarter score P 6-4 Wis 4-2 game on.
A quick centre break for Parndana and super kicked truly from 40m out. Wisanger went forward but for only 2 points then Parndana 2 more goals through Jared Sugars and Shane Leahy. Then Pete Purvess spotted up Rock Cod with a nice low drop punt for yet another goal for Wisanger.
Parndana were gaining momentum and Jamie Heinrich who was in everything all day goaled followed by another goal to super Dennis from a long set shot. Tyson Barter bobbed up for another left to snap to finish off the game. Parndana 13-4 to Wis 5-4.
