Dudley procured a perfect day for tennis amongst a month where the weather has driven everyone crazy.

With the Stantons able to roll out of their shack and on to the court, Stokes Bay was close to full strength.

The doubles provided some good tennis but both teams got two sets each. Will Stanton’s service game went forever, either rocketing down aces or serving double faults.

Singles was a mixed affair with Richard and Marina receiving a pantsing from Kate and Coby while Michael and Neil traded shots in an enthralling battle with Neil getting home.

The rest of the singles went to Stokes Bay to give them a two-set lead.

Into the mixed doubles and it was anyone’s game. Dudley won two sets and Stokes one to make it 8-7 Stokes’ way. The last double would decide the day as Dudley would win on games in a draw. The giggle and hit girls Marian and Fiona just got over Coby and Jody to win the day for Stokes.

Special mentions got to Fiona Stanton who at training said, “No more pantsings, I’ll win three this week,” and she did.

Kate Stanton couldn’t get off the court quick enough to work on her bikini tan only giving two games away for the day.

And Marina Baker is selling her racquet cheap after the useless thing failed in singles again.
