After welcoming speeches from KIWBA President Janice Kelly and Betty Collins representing Birchmore, play got underway for the 3 bowl triples, 3 games each of 10 ends. Weather conditions were great for bowling, a slight breeze and plenty of sunshine. Eight teams competed and all teams put down some good bowls. Worthy of a mention are Rita and Phill, two of our more senior bowlers, who bowled well all day, draw bowling and the occasional up shot. Great to see new bowler Bev Johnson enjoying her bowls. 2 teams had 55 points, P Burry, A Speed, J Steinwedel & C Liu, J Lovering and R Lobsey. Winners with 67 points B Collins, D Wood, S de Rohan.
