Turkeys’ last laugh in clash of titans

Wild Turkeys

v Jokers

With both teams undefeated someone was going to lose their first match for the season and the Turkeys got away to a good start with wins to Graeme and Rhys before James won the first for the Jokers. Another 2 wins for the Turkey via Ben and Marty and they were 4 – 1 up after the first round. Wayne for the Jokers got the first win in the second round and the games alternated from then with Jeff and James winning for the Jokers and Rhys and Ben for the Turkeys, still maintaining a 6 – 4 lead. Colin won the first of the third round for the Jokers then Rhys another for the Turkeys. Dave scrapped in the next for the Jokers and they were banking on James to keep them in the match but Ben pulled off a miraculous shot to sink the black to take out the match. Wayne won the next but the Turkeys won 8 – 7

Ball Breakers v Queenie

Karl, Fish and Pete for Queenie won the first three before the Breakers got 2 wins through Eva and Wayne. Unfortunately that was it for the Breakers as Fish, Maria, Karl, Mark, and Pete each won both of their next games to take out the match 13 – 2

Yankee Creek v

Unga Bungas

The Bungas started with the wins via Lex and Bunta before Derek won the first for Yankee Creek. Hissey and Bigus followed up with 2 more for the Bungas to get to a 4 – 1 lead. The second round started with 2 wins to the Bungas via Bunta and Hissey followed by another win to Derek. Bigus claimed his second scalp and Luke got another for the Creek. The Bungas holding onto a 7 3 lead. Steve Hissey sealed the match for the Bungas in the 11th game. Wins to Peter, Derek and Weavy for Yankee Creek were too late and Bunta followed up with another win for the Bungas and a 9 – 6 win.

Pub Monkeys v Parndana

Parndana’s Sacky got the first win but Adam, Mark, Khyal and Paul for the Monkeys won the next 4 taking a 4 – 1 lead after 5. They followed up with 3 more wins through Jake, Adam and Mark before Parndana pulled off 5 straight via Steve, Trevor, AB, Sacky and Hodgey to give them a chance at 7 all. The Monkeys prevailed with Khyal and Paul winning the next 2 to take it out 9 – 6

Kingscote v Barely Standing

Barely Standing got the start they were looking for with Wardy and Chrisso winning the first 2. Max and Terry won the next 2 for Kingscote then another to Razz and the Barely Boys were up 3 – 2 after 5.

The Barely Boys were on fire with consecutive wins to Chrisso, Ducky, Wardy, Razz, and Doum to take out the match in the 10th game. Wins to Ducky and Wardy before Terry got another for Kingscote then the Barely Boys finished off with wins to Doum and Chrisso for a big 12 – 3 win.
