Parndana v Wisanger
Wisanger colts were quick out of the blocks at Parndana on Saturday with five goals in the first 4 minutes of play, of which Dougie Boardman kicked three and Dylan Turner also dominating play kicked two.
Parndana settled into their work and began to defend better with centre half back Whatu Gleeson and full back Jarrad Kelly both getting the football. Quarter time Wisanger seven goals eight points Parndana no score. The second quarter saw Sean Curtis from Wisanger sell the dummy, dodge an opponent and handball to Anthony Jones who goaled in the square.
Jake Collins at full forward was taking some nice marks and had two goals by half time, while in defence as in the first quarter nothing was getting past ‘the Wall’ Sam Woolley at centre half back. For Parndana Josh Bennett, Bailey Gaskin and Justin Huxtable were showing some good form and Damon Freitag on loan from Wisanger for the day, was excellent playing loose in defence.
Half time scores Wisanger 14 goals 12 points, Parndana 0 and the game was evened up with the mercy rule.
Kingscote v Western District
Kingscote Colts won a ripper of a game against Western Districts by 17 points. Noah Rose starred for the home side with three goals and plenty of the football; Alex Ripley-Dennis damaging with five goals. For the visitors, Lachie Florance was a standout, also finishing with five goals.
