Western District 46 d Kingscote 19
Strong play by both teams great passes by WD. Kingscote first game and still finding their feet. Kingscote had near even third quarter but Western Districts flying in front. Great effort by both teams.
Parndana v Wisanger
It was a great day for playing sport at Parndana and the girls looked sharp and ready to play. Parndana has to fill from the lower grades utilised Georgie Horjus and Taj Ronga 11&U playing 13&U and Rhana Berlin, Ella Putland and Alex Bennett also playing in 13&U. The game started off with Wisanger shooting some nice goals through Georgia at goal attack.
Brydie Berlin was leading strongly and creating a lot of play in Parndana’s goal circle, scoring some lovely goals. Rhana, Ella, and Abby attacked the ball a lot freely and Alex Bennett was excellent on her defense wing. Wisanger’s height was a key factor in their game and unfortunately Parndana could not match this. However, defenders Mystique, Taj, and Georgie persevered, trying to out-position their opponent and at times intercepting the passes coming into the goal circle.
Nikki Jones at centre was consistent for Wisanger as were Georgia, Caitlyn and Sally. Parndana never gave up held their heads high even when most of the girls had played two matches and had the blisters to show for it.

Parndana 39 d Wisanger 26
Players enjoyed much better playing conditions than last week. The first quarter was pretty even with lovely shooting by Georgie Horjus (P) who had a great tussle with Eliza Anderson (W) all game. Taj Rongo and Rhana Berlin combined well in defence for Parndana against the tall Wisanger goalies, Louise and Kaitlyn. Ella Putland (P) showed skills beyond her years passing the ball beautifully into her goalie partner Georgie. Jorelie and Jelisa Letton both gaining confidence with each game. Alex Bennett (P) offered great leads through the mid court with Natasha Griffith (W) and Stacey Swann (W) defending well.

Wisanger 20 d Kingscote (1) 8
Kingscote and Wisanger both moving the ball quickly up and down the court. A tight first half with scores level at the end of the first and second quarter. Heidi Barrett working hard under the basket and Portia defending very well. Third quarter saw Wisanger break away with terrific goal shooting by Rachel Church and Rachel Barr, Bridget Grimes working overtime, in defence. Last quarter saw Issy Kent and Bridget Grimes working hard in defence to stop the flow of Wisanger goals. Wisanger centre Temah enjoyed the position change and moved well up and down giving Wisanger good options to throw to. A great game with good skills shown by both sides this early in the season.
Parndana 17 d Wisanger 14
Fantastic game played by all. The scores were even for the first three quarters. Great court play and defence at both ends by Rumer Wendt, Tahnee Thomas, Chantal Leonhardt and Eliza Havelberg which made it tough for the goalies. Parndana too good for the goal-less Wisanger in the last quarter to win by 3 goals. Fantastic job girls!
Western Districts 44 d Kingscote (2) 9
Western Districts set the pace in the first quarter with fast changes down the court. Fabulous play read between Lauren Downing and Tanner Morris. Kingscote fought back well with Bridget Black and Abbie Lasscock encouraging Kingscote’s less experienced players. Fourth quarter saw many position changes which evened the play across the two teams. All girls worked hard to do their best. A great game to watch.

Western Districts v Kingscote
Perfect day out with several first players for both teams. All girls trying hard, listening well to the umpires as they learn and improve. Oliva Downing good intercept for Western Districts. Madison Johnston finding plenty of the ball for Kingscote. A competitive match played in good spirits. Well done to all players and especially the first-timers.
Wisanger v Parndana
Wisanger came out firing. Parndana girls were getting into the groove by the end of the first quarter. Parndana made a few changes that improved their attacking ability. Great work leading by Iiesha and Ashley. Wisanger’s Centre was excellent in her position. Parndana girls are having a go at all positions and then they will settle into some permanent positions. Parndana’s passing and leading improved by the third quarter. Massive improvement from the first game. Ashley deserves the Team Award.
