A little rain couldn't dampen the spirits of those who arrived at Tanunda's Goat Square for Ziegenmarkt on Thursday morning.

A favoured tradition of the Barossa Vintage Festival, the auction proved as entertaining as ever. 

We kicked off the morning with a live chat with Barossa Vintage Festival chair Cathy Wills.

We then watched on as BVF director Andrew Dundon had a go turning the wheel on the old horse drawn winnower.

The first produce auction kicked off at 8.30am to spirited bidding.

And the highlight of the morning, the auctioning of a goat and pig, saw bids hit $155 for Derek the goat.
