‘Under Southern Skies’, will highlight the importance of conservation work on the South Coast of Kangaroo Island, by celebrating science in our community.

Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary in collaboration with KI/Victor Harbor Dolphin Watch present a snapshot of conservation programs and displays on Friday August 18 from 5.30pm.

‘Under Southern Skies’, highlighting the importance of conservation work on the South Coast of KI, will celebrate science in our community. Based at Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary in the heart of a declared nature reserve, speakers will present a snapshot of island conservation programs and displays, both terrestrial and marine.

Projects include the Sanctuary’s conservation projects; koalas, bees, birds, sealions, dolphins and more, covering both terrestrial and marine worlds.

All are welcome to come and share a low-cost dinner, coffee, cake and drinks, listen to the short presentations starting at 7pm, enjoy a night walk, gaze at the stars and enjoy live music.

The event will be opened by KI Commissioner Wendy Campana and introduced by KI Mayor Peter Clements.
