Students from Kingscote Campus, Kangaroo Island, have 'bin' having some fun, creating sets of bins for their classrooms and staff office spaces

Students from Kingscote Campus have been busy designing and making sets of bins for their classrooms and staff office spaces as part of a campus-wide competition.

Each class made a big yellow recycling bin, a soft plastics bin and a small red landfill bin, incorporating creative designs and clear signage about which items should go in each bin.

This will complement the new KI kerbside bins and support our students and staff to reduce what is sent to landfill, especially as the campus has organised a soft plastics collection service and will continue to compost food scraps.

The student’s efforts to reduce, reuse, recycle have been fantastic and special congratulations to the pizza party winners - Miss Joanna's Year 1/2 class, Miss Watter’s Reception/1 class and Mr Tilling's Year 6 class.
