Australians first served as international peacekeepers in 1947, after World War II had ended. This year marks 70 years of participating in peacekeeping.

Australia has been a significant and consistent contributor to peacekeeping operations across the globe and have served in more than 50 multi-national operations over the past seven decades.

Lest we forget.
