Second Black Dog Ride set for March

After the success of last year’s Black Dog Ride one day event,  the organisers are hoping that even more people will join the third annual ride on March 23 to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention.

This year’s ride will run from Kingscote to Flinders Chase via the South Coast Road, concluding at Parndana.

The event aims to assist those who are struggling with mental health issues to start the conversation to seek help, and will include fundraising opportunities, which in turn support mental health services including mental health advocacy, education and crisis support. Some of these services are the Suicide Call Back Service, Lamp Inc, Black Dog Institute, Lifeline Australia and Mental Health First Aid Australia.

Riders are encouraged to register early (rather than on the day) at
