Local girl setting pace in skincare from the source

Local girl setting pace in skincare

Sally Paech, who went to school on KI and will be remembered by her many friends, has set about creating her own range of skin care products, under the brand the OrganiQ Connection.

It is skincare made from the source.

Ms Paech describes herself as a natural beauty entrepreneur, has been inspired by the island to make her products 100 per cent natural and organic where possible.

“They smell incredible, feel amazing … and apparently taste pretty good too,” Ms Paech said.

Every ingredient is selected for a unique purpose, from hand sourced KI mineral salt, Clifford’s Honey, natural plant and flower extracts and she uses raw unrefined Coconut Oil sourced from sustainable farming.

“KI is home to the only pure strain of Ligurian Bee. Our pristine Honey is full of unique antioxidants and healing compounds,” Ms Paech said.

The project began about six months ago and is already having an astounding response.

“I created the products initially just for myself. I used my knowledge of natural plants and ingredients to create things that would cleanse, hydrate and sooth my sensitive skin.”

“I found that people would actually compliment me on the look of my skin and complexion.”

“My products can remove makeup, exfoliate and hydrate, soothe allergies and have been safe for eczema.”

Ms Paech is now selling her products to fashion designers, media personalities, health and fitness professionals, even builders, and the farming community is starting to catch on too.

Her three signature products include Native Honey Body Scrub to cleanse, exfoliate and soften; Pure Rose Hydrating Mist, to hydrate and nourish; and Organic Facial Elixer, for deep nourishing skin treatment.

Ms Paech has made a conscious effort to create natural, ethical and beautiful products, at an affordable price.

“The island has given me so much, I feel that this is one way that I can give back by supporting local industry and helping to promote awareness of the local environment and community.”

“I want everyone to be able to nourish their bodies with the best ingredients possible.”

The OrganiQ Connection is stocked at the KI Beauty Bar in Penneshaw and at the Kangaroo Island stall at Central Markets in Adelaide.
