It’s on again!

After a very successful Carols on the Coast last year, the sounds of Christmas will resonate again over the waters from Lloyd Collins Reserve.

It had been some time since such a wonderful community event had taken place in Penneshaw and the response from the community was fantastic and heartfelt.

Margot Rosser remembers the days when Penneshaw enjoyed fabulous community activities at Hog Bay during the festive season and has been inspired to try and bring this spirit back to the town.

While being the principal event organiser, Margot is grateful to have had such amazing support from the community in organising the event, including the Penneshaw Business Centre, Sealink, Jeff Howard, Tony Blight of KI Electrical, Susan Craig, Kingscote Men’s Shed, the children and teachers of Penneshaw, Maria Sexton and KI Council.

This evening comes with all the trimmings, including glittering safety candles, fabulous food from I Love Vietnam, Maria Sexton’s spring rolls, savoury local lamb snacks from Island Pure Sheep Dairy, Penneshaw Progress Association’s sausage sizzle, KI Kones, and Coffee from Cuppa Joey.

The evening of food, song and KI community spirit is set to be even bigger and better than last year; with the sounds of Carols on the Coast being enjoyed by the local community and visitors to the island.
