Fine Art Kangaroo Island and Kangaroo Island Spirits, organisers of the tenth Let There Be Bling annual jewellery cocktail party, were delighted with a crowd of 70 guests at Friday’s opening despite the sudden change to the weather.

Lovers of handmade, local artworks were enthralled with the contrasting, versatile looks created by more than 14 jewellery models.

As event opener, Jeanette Gellard ran through her top five reasons to adorn yourself with jewellery, the crowd loved her third reason, “Jewellery always fits, we never need ‘fat’ and ‘thin’ jewellery!”

Guest Joyleen Cowin won ‘Total Overall Look’ winning a ‘Time and Tide’ sterling silver pendant by Fred Peters.

Sara Lark and Catherine Bennett of KiS offered tastings and mixed over 60 award-winning gin cocktails.
