Whilst the forward rate of spread has halted, the increasing temperature and wind speed may result in an increase in fire activity, which in turn may threaten your safety.
CFS crews will be in attendance throughout the day and tonight patrolling the area, to strengthen control lines and respond to any active fire.
This will be supported by aircraft during daylight hours.
Residents in the area are advised to remain vigilant during the day and continue to check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan as conditions may change.
To ensure your safety, that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.
Hazards may include reduced visibility due to smoke, fallen trees blocking roads and emergency vehicles operating in the area.
Stay tuned to your local ABC on a battery-powered radio for updates.
