The existing Skate Park in Kingscote has now been upgraded by Wayne Riley (who also worked on the old skate run) and team.

The cracks have been repaired and the run, believed to be the oldest skate run in Australia, is open for action.

The new skate park has begun construction with Carving Concrete (Sam Bennett and his crew) pushing ahead to finish the park in another four weeks.

The committee has been overwhelmed by support for this stage by Zealands Concrete, Warner Earthmovers, KI Council,  Andrew and Sandy Schultz, Tony Willson and Mark Hardy .

The next stage will be the construction of a shelter shed, nature playground and fencing.

The committee is still fundraising, so please contact Graeme Connell on 8553 2369 for more information.
