Three inspiring women have been rewarded for their dedicated volunteering work at an awards breakfast on International Women’s Day.

The Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island Women’s Community Awards presentation – run by the Victor Harbor VIEW Club and Member for Finniss Michael Pengilly – was held at the Hotel Victor on Thursday, March 3.

After tough judging by Pat Chigwidden, Janet Jones and Bronwen Mullen, it was revealed that this year’s winners were Robyn Hosking, Melissa Rebbeck and Karen Robinson.

The trio won their awards for the volunteering work they do in their local communities.

The special guest was City of Victor Harbor chief executive officer Victoria MacKirdy, who gave a speech about being a woman in a leadership role and balancing that with home life.
