If you hear thunderous sounds on Sunday be assured it isn’t the weather – it will be the roar of engines as motorcyclists from the island and mainland get together for the Black Dog Ride.
On March 18, riders will check in at Kingscote in the morning and then leave to travel the Main South Coast Road to the Rustic Blue cafe.
It will be onto Rocky River National Park for lunch then the group will finish the ride at the Parndana Community Hall at about 3.30pm.
The aim of the ride is to raise funds and awareness of depression and suicide prevention.
Last year 83 riders took to the Island’s roads with the amount growing over the past five years.
If you want to see the bikes and riders they will be at the Memorial Park from 8am to 9.30am, at Rustic Blue at 10.15am and Rocky River at 12.15pm, finishing at about 3.30pm at Parndana.
