Strong winds are set to impact on services and activities on Kangaroo Island.

Rain started falling on Kingscote around 1pm and there were reports of a big dust storm on the outskirts of Kingscote at 12.30pm just before the rain.

Due to forecasts for winds to exceed 90km/h, Natural Resources Kangaroo Island has been forced to close Remarkable Rocks and the Admirals Arch boardwalk in Flinders Chase National Park

The rest of the park, including the fur seal lookout, prior to Admirals Arch boardwalk, and Remarkable Rocks lookout platform, will remain open
