Parndana Golf Club holds 2018 Men's Open event

On Sunday of the June long weekend, Parndana Golf Club held its Men’s Open event generously sponsored by Elders Kingscote.

The course looked magnificent thanks to many club members but in particular ground keepers Phil Cooper and Chris Downing.

This is the first major event held since the re-configuration of the course and things went very smoothly.

The  golf course now has the second nine starting at the club-house with a pleasant bush walk added to achieve this.

The club is grateful to Larry Hacker for creating the track and to Barb Cooper for making the signs.

Twenty one players enjoyed a coffee and catch up before heading off to play 18 holes in what could only be described as perfect golfing conditions, calm, cool with a touch of sunshine.

The men were given a salad roll to sustain them during the day.

At the completion of play, afternoon tea and a dissection of the day’s play was enjoyed in the clubhouse.
