The Kangaroo Island Pony Club on Sunday, July 1 held its AGM and trophy presentation.
The club has had a boost in membership from previous years.
It was great to see lots of fresh faces returning for the new year, as well as the golden oldies and a family returning again after many years not being involved.
This year saw most of the trophies able to be handed out as the range of ages had greatly improved.
Under 10 was won by Montana Berden, Age 10-13 was won by Tilly Bald and Age 17-26 was won by Maddie Lade.
Most improved was given to Dakoda Berden.
The Service to the Club award was given the Cherokee Berden.
There was also a presentation for riders who had earned their D certificates they gained when an instructor from the mainland visited
This was also when five of our instructors gained there preliminary coaching qualification.
All in all, the club is looking towards a great year ahead with rallies planned every fortnight and the club celebrating its 50th birthday in October. – Chestnut Nag
