KI Netball – C Grade and 11&U at Parndana | Photos

C grade at Parndana

Both teams started well with strong defence at both ends and even play. Injury to a Parndana player unsettled the team for a while but they came back strongly in the third quarter to be 14 up.

Kingscote fought back in the last quarter with turnouts resulting in goals. Jez and Dianna for Kingscote were strong in goals and Steph for Parndana worked well through the centre with excellent intercepts turning the ball over. Strong overall game for Parndana played in excellent conditions. Parndana defeate Kingscote 34 to 22.

Dudley matches

A grade: A very scrappy start to the first quarter.  Western Districts settled first and got the goals on the scoreboard.  Great shooting by Carly Willmott (WD) and Sarah Weatherspoon (WD).  WD up by 7 goals at the first break.  Dudley United making positional changes, Ella Johnson into C and Ava Martain into WD which certainly the was difference in the second quarter.  Dudley United had a 12 goal turn around in that quarter being up by 6 at the half time break.  Emma Coppins (DU) having a much better second quarter and hardly missing.  Julie Helyar (DU) just running around the goal circle turning the WD defence inside out.  Nikki Boxer (DU) and Ella Johnson (DU) combining well with Julie and Emma and consistently feeding the DU goalies.  Maree Gifford (WD) spending some time on the ground but always getting up and dusting herself up.  Dudley United defence, Mia Helyar and Tam Bailey both have a strong second half.  Jacky Sands also having a strong game in the mid court for WD.

B grade: Weather was warm and cloudy.  Dudley United centre pass.  Dudley starting off strong.  Western Districts defence making it hard for Dudley United shooters.  Steady mid court, Verity Carey (WD) making it hard for Dudley United centre court.  Both teams making changes in the goal circle for Dudley United and Western Districts.  Varity Carey (WD) not into goals and shooting well.  Tahnese Childs (DU) working well with Corinne Houchin (DU) in goals.  Hard game all round with Western Districts coming out with the win by one goal.

D grade: A fine but cool day greeted the teams out at the Eagles Nest for the late game between  Wisanger and Western Districts. A  good start by both teams saw goals being scored both ends of the court. Wisanger had trouble containing the on fire Wonks goalies so changes were made at the first break. The old guard Caroline Iasanzaniro came off and the young gun of Ella Warner went on into GK. Wisanger settled a bit better but the Wonks goalies had their eye in. Half time saw Wonks well in control on the scoreboard. Third quarter Wisanger made changes again with Lisa Wood coming off in WD and Caroline back on. Final quarter saw Wisanger make changes again, Lisa back on in WD, Caroline back to GK and Kerrie Barter off. All girls played well from both teams, Wisanger just couldn't convert their shots at goals.Wonks superior on the day Final score Westies def Wisanger 60 -23

15&U: Western Districts coming out strong with great shooting by GS, Tilly Bald (WD).  Dudley United working the ball well getting it into their goalies but WD defence too strong.  Great team work by Dudley United trying their best to get it down the court.  Great intercept from Tahnese Childs (DU) making it hard for WD goalies.  Great game with WD winning.  Thank you umpires.
