Parndana match reports
A Grade: With Dudley United key favourites for this season’s flag and sitting undefeated on the premiership table, Parndana gave it their all. Tall Players, Emma Coppins at Goal Shooter and Charlotte Gilfillan at Goal Keeper made it very difficult for the Roosters most of the game. Though Fiona Stanton was shooting over the long arms of Charlotte with some success, but Dudley were able to deflect Parndana's passing into the goal circle on many occasions.
Emma Gaskin (WA), Courtney Wood (GK) & Janine Wandel (GD) had a number of intercepts through out the match, but the high percentage of shooting accuracy and defensive rebounding was clearly too strong for Parndana.
Vicki Chapman spoke to the Roosters after the match expressing her thoughts that after the first quarter the Red and White improved immensely with some excellent passages of play. The next few matches will confirm the final four with Parndana in an unfamiliar position bottom of the ladder, with plenty left in the tank.
B Grade: A nice day to play netball. The first quarter saw Dudley United capitalise on skill errors from Parndana to take an early lead. In the second quarter, Parndana fought back but Dudley was too strong extending their lead. At half time, Parndana made some changes and took some time to adjust. The last quarter saw Parndana finally settle player some competitive netball but it was to little to late. Well done to Dudley. Du 36 def Pa 25
C Grade: Parndana came out strongly to be 6 up at quarter time. They continued to draw away and won won convincingly by by 38 goals. Excellent court play by Parndana with strong intercepts and the goalies worked well together to finish it off. Holly and Steph defended well for Parndana with Sheena and Alice playing well in various positions for Dudley. A good game played in amazing July weather. P 48 def D 10.
