Kym Budarick celebrates 30 years at KI’s Aurora Ozone Hotel

Kym Budarick recently celebrated 30 years of service at the Aurora Ozone Hotel and about 60 people gathered at the front bar to celebrate the milestone with Kym.

These included former publican Chris Schumann, current manager Mary-Lou Corcoran, former owner Peter Turner and Pat Nelson.

Ms Corcoran arranged for Kym and a friend to attend the Port Adelaide match at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon and spend the weekend in Adelaide.

Kym has lived in Kingscote, Kangaroo Island all his life, and has been employed at the Ozone Hotel since August 1988.

Employed initially as a casual food and beverage attendant in the bistro and sports bar. He has worked throughout the hotel doing yard maintenance, food and beverage and the staffing the bottle shop.

His main position now is front bar and gaming, and Kym is also heavily involved in the Ozone social club.

He is very much a character of the ozone and everyone had their Kym mask on at the celebration.
