Double success for Carol Houston of Parndana at Royal Adelaide Show

Carol Houston of Parndana on Kangaroo Island has experienced double success at this year’s Royal Adelaide Show.

Mrs Houston was one of two show conveners to be awarded for attaining the highest number of competitive entries in the Genoa Cake Semi-Final Competition for the 2017/2018 Country Show Season.

She received the award as a representative of the Parndana Show and was presented with an engraved cake knife and certificate of achievement.

The other convener to receive the award was from the Mil-Lel Show in the South East, near Mt. Gambier.

Additionally Carol represented Kangaroo Island against the other regional finalists and won first prize for the Scones Competition, at which she has had success in previous years.

These awards should encourage people considering being conveners and provides an opportunity for successful exhibitors at our local shows to be recognised State wide for their efforts.
