2018 Parndana Show – A Season’s Harvest | PHOTOS

The 59th annual Parndana Show was held in perfect weather and a great crowd in attendance.

The show was officially opened by PIRSA senior consultant Lyn Dohle and Parndana young achiever Nick Mumford, on behalf of the Parndana Agriculture Horticulture and Floriculture Show Society.

Representing the society were Kate Stanton and Rick Morris, the chairman of Agriculture KI.

Show society member Nicholas Tremaine said it was a great day and thanked all involved.

"The Parndana Show Society would like to thank everyone that supported the show for 2018,” Nicholas said.

“To our sponsors, convenors, helpers and everyone that attended the show we appreciate you support and hope that everyone had a most enjoyable day.

“We look forward to seeing everyone again next year as we look to celebrate our 60th show, planning has already begun and we have some wonderful surprises in store as we celebrate the past 60 years of the Parndana Show."

Highlights of the Parndana Show this year, as always, was the shearing competition, while the Kangaroo Island Wool Fashion Show also took place on the tennis courts.

The show featured the all new Spring-Autumn 2019 range in an exclusive show just for Islanders.

Other highlights included the horses in action, BMX competition, young and junior farmer challenges and dog jumping competition.

There was also live judging of the state semi-final of the rich fruit cake competition held in the pavilion.

We will be adding more photos and also check out the results in this week’s Islander.
