KI Pony Club holds its Christmas Rally

The Kangaroo Island Pony Club came together on Sunday, December 2 to celebrate our last rally of the 2018 calendar year.

There were 20 plus riders attending the Christmas rally, which is indicative of our growth over the past 12 months.

It was great to see so many happy riders and horses of all ages and sizes come together and enjoy the day, which started with some jumping exercises and novelties in the morning.

After a pooled barbecue lunch, more novelties were enjoyed including the Keyhole and Texas Barrel.

Riders paired up to compete in teams, which made for lots of fun.

Groups then divided up to enjoy some more challenging showjumping, more fun games on horseback or a bush bash.

The day finished with the kids enjoying breaking into a horse piñata.

We will now have a break over the summer period with our next rally to be held at the Birchmore grounds on Sunday, February 3.

We look forward to another year of great growth for our club. – Bridie Berden
