The Kangaroo Island Art Society hosted a workshop on lino-cutting and printing last weekend.
Lucy Timbrell, an Adelaide-based visual artist and printmaker, led the workshop which attracted 15 students, all Kangaroo Island residents.
The venue was the bright and airy Lions Hall in Kingscote.
Lucy, as well as making and exhibiting artwork loves to encourage and support particularly regional artists and attending this workshop were trained artists, practising professionals, emerging artists; all with a broad range of life experiences.
Many were looking for new ideas and inspiration while others just wanted to gain new skills and perhaps develop a new past-time to pursue.
As the weekend workshop has been successful, with lots of positive feedback, Lucy may be returning to the island mid-year for some more. Stay tuned.
