KI woman airlifted after falling off horse

A Kangaroo Island woman in her 40s was airlifted to Adelaide after falling off a horse on Monday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the SA Ambulance Service said the woman sustained chest injuries from being trampled after falling off her horse.  

The MedSTAR emergency medical helicopter flew directly to the scene of the accident at the KI Pony Club at Birchmore.

The woman was flown to the Flinders Medical Centre.

The KI Pony Club is hosting its autumn camp this week.
