A woman in her 30s is trapped in a car that rolled at Vivonne Bay on Kangaroo Island.
Emergency services responded to the accident at about 11.30am, including the MedSTAR rescue helicopter from the mainland.
An SA Ambulance Service spokesperson said the woman was still trapped at 12.10pm and was in the process of being freed.
The Parndana CFS brigade responded to the accident and cut the patient out of the vehicle.
The woman became trapped after her call rolled on South Coast Road. It was a single-vehicle accident.
The accident happened on a bend on South Coast Road just west of Vivonne Bay near Mount Stockdale Road.
The rescue helicopter flew over Kingscote at 12.55pm on its way back to Adelaide.
The SA Ambulance service said the woman was in a serious but not life threatening condition and had been taken to Flinders Medical Centre.
This is the second time this week that the MedSTAR chopper responded to Kangaroo Island after a local woman was injured in a horse accident on Monday.
