The midday game for the 11 and under teams at Gosse was grey and drizzly but progressed to very soggy in the last half. The Western Districts girls were working on their defence techniques that had been practiced at training. Magellen and Montana took a lot of intercepts for the home team and Gisele and Jess moved well in the ring and threw some very good goals. Half time saw changes to move the girls around and keep them warm. Western Districts Lucy, Mya and Manaia worked hard moving the ball through the centre. Tayla passed and shot well in the second half. Dudleys smaller team played with heart and courage and their persistence paid off with Airlie scoring a goal late in the last quarter.
