NBN has confirmed outage windows for nbn™ fixed wireless customers on Kangaroos Island were from Tuesday, June 25 to Saturday, June 29 between 7am and 8pm.

Head of nbn™ local SA/NT, Tim Saul said the outages were due to upgrade works, which aimed to boost the wholesale broadband capacity of the NBN fixed wireless network.

"As part of our network upgrade program we will be boosting the wholesale broadband capacity of impacted tower cells, prioritising areas of Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island, where some residents are experiencing slower speeds, particularly during the busy evening period," Mr Saul said.

"When we carry out an upgrade, the tower may be turned off at intervals throughout the day, which will affect some telephone and internet services of local residents who are connected to the network.

"We will take steps to help ensure that any disruption to service is kept to a minimum while ensuring the safety of workers.

"We thank residents and businesses for their patience as we complete these upgrades."
