"We are delighted to be able to support and encourage some of our fantastic regional events and festivals which not only create enormous excitement and goodwill in a community but generate significant flow-on economic benefit and potential jobs growth,'' Mr Ridgway said.
"Events and festivals are a wonderful way to enhance the tourism offering of a particular region andensure positive economic benefit for local restaurants, motels, cafes and small retailers."
The 2020 SeaLink Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival will be held from Thursday, February 20 to Saturday, February 22 at Cygnet River and includes a raft of events as well as good country horse racing.
Other regional events to share in $348,000 of funding include the South Australian Living Artists Festival, Handpicked, Barossa Gourmet Weekend and Tunarama.
