A born and bred Islander, Alicia Jamieson is saying farewell to The Islander newspaper and is going on to new challenges.
"The time has come for me to say good-bye to The Islander, I have enjoyed my three years and I would like to thank all the dedicated readers and customers for their continued support as without you there would be no paper," she said.
"It was a hard decision to leave but will continue working for Rex airlines and have already started work in the cafe at the airport, which is a big change.
"I need to spend time working on my own business and doing that in which I love, and to spend quality time with family.
"I wish Stan, Anne, customers and readers all the best of luck and I will continue to support The Islander, as an Islander."
