What a fun day we all had on Sunday at the Island Target Archery's club grounds at Haines.

Our new members shot their first full rounds, and all did brilliantly.

Steve and Tara Clark are now listed on the RGB rating list, with Leasha soon to follow.

Ryan, Scott and Zach were a joy to watch with their fun and enthusiasm and each took the scoring very seriously.

Max and Anne shot 40 metres with Max scoring a 6 gold, which the kids were very impressed with and now want to shoot their own 6 golds.

All archers are now also competing for our EOY trophies. Most Improved, Most Helpful, and Most Determined.

Don't forget on Sunday, October 7 long-weekend, Island Target Archery will again be having another popular fun shoot.

There will be a balloon shoot, envelope shoot, a do not hit the gold shoot, and paint the canvas shoot.

As last time, we will have a surprise shoot at the end with a chance to win a major prize.

The cost for the day is only $5 each, and there will also be a sausage sizzle for $1 per snag and a cake stall. - Anne Christie
