With a fabulous lineup of events, exhibits and competitions, there is something for everyone at the 2019 Kingscote Show. The 102nd Kingscote Show will be officially opened at noon on Saturday, November 2 by Federal Member for Mayo, Rebekha Sharkie.

The Kangaroo Island Motor Club will be at this year's show with a 'show and shine' of all the best cars and motorbikes on the Island, among them Wayne Riley and his 1977 Valiant Charger.

Not to be missed is Malachi Frost, a family friendly circus/sideshow performer, who has performed around the globe. Moving from magic, to sideshow and circus throughout his career, Malachi has a large repertoire.

For breakfast and brunch, Narelle & Co will make sure you don't go hungry with egg and bacon rolls, as well as other food choices, continuing through to lunch.

Old MacDonald's Animal Nursery returns under new management and we welcome Bianca to KI for the first time with her cuddly animals for the kids to enjoy. The Cyclone sponsored by SeaLink will again be coming along with the bungee jump, jumping castle and sideshows. We will be having dodgem cars in 2020 for something new.

The football clubrooms will again transform into a ladies lounge with Snapaganza Jewellery, Seaside Beauty showcasing natural certified organic skin care and therapeutic essential oils, Roz Miller with Intimo, and Tumerix with Ros King.

We have a Junior Incentive Award sponsored by KI Blue Light, to be awarded to exhibitors with most points received by entering in three classes open to students and children. Full details in the 2019 show book. 'Bling It On' is a charity fundraiser organised by Jeff, from the KI Dance School, while KI Art Feast's 'Native to the Island' animal cut-out art pieces will be also judged and displayed.

Horses In Action will start at 9am under the careful guidance of Karen Hammat assisted by Charmaine and David. Karen would like to acknowledge and thank Turner Fuel for donating fuel vouchers for the judges and Bay of Shoals Wines for donating wine as thank you gifts.

Wool-growers are reminded to please support the Legacy Wool sections in both Kingscote and Parndana Shows. For details please refer to the current show books. Legacy KI is asking local farmers to support the section by donating a fleece, or fleeces. All entries are judged and trophies awarded to the winning fleeces. After the show the wool is sold, all proceeds go to Legacy, supporting Legacy Widows and Wards.

The Honey section has for the first time secured sponsorship from NUPLAS Beekeeping Supplies for an award for the champion jar of honey, receiving the most points over all honey categories. Entries must be received at 15 Rawson Street by 4pm on October 30 for judging.

The Homemade Beer and Wine Competition has welcomed the Aurora Ozone Hotel Sip'n Save Cellars as a new major sponsor this year. Ozone Cellars will showcase the winning wines in store for six weeks during November/December. For the winner of Champion Wine, manager Gavin will showcase all your varieties for the six-week period. Gavin would love to see as many varieties entered as possible, he is hoping to turn this into something big for our local wines. Winners will also feature on the Ozone Facebook page and in the restaurant. Coopers will again sponsor the Home Brewed Beer sections.
