WOMEN GATHER: Jaffrey Drinkwater, Pam Davis and Eunice James from Kangaroo Island with Polly Johnston from Alawoona and Charmaine Kimba from Pt. Vincent, members of the State Executive Committee for the SA Rural Women's Gathering, and Strathalbyn committee member Tania Richardson from Woodchester.

Jaffrey Drinkwater, Pam Davis and Eunice James represented Kangaroo Island at the SA Rural Women's Gathering held at Strathalbyn on October 11-13.

The theme for the gathering was Connect, Inspire, Discover and all attending certainly did that, according to Jaffrey.

KI women have a tradition of attending, sending 14 women over in 2005. And in the year 2000, KI hosted the event.

Next year, the SA Rural Women's gathering is at Peterborough on October 23-25.

"It would be nice if more from KI could make the effort to go," Jaffrey said.
