Monique Hayward presented as a semi finalist in prestigious Carers SA Carer Achievement Award

Kangaroo Island resident Monique Hayward was presented as a semi finalist in the prestigious Carers SA Carer Achievement Award.

The presentation was made by the Minister for Human Services, Michelle Lensink MLC at the 2019 South Australian Community Achievement Awards Presentation Gala held at the Hilton Adelaide, on Friday November 1.

Also attending was a delegation from the KI Road Safety Committee, nominated for the Jones Harley Toole Community Road Safety Award that was on the night by the Orroroo and District Road Safety Committee.

About 500 guests gathered from across the State to celebrate South Australia's high achievers and community contributors.

Monique Hayward of Kingscote is carer for her mother, brother and her son, Isaac Doman. Her family have given her strength, encouraged her to study and Monique is an advocate for equity.

The awards night culminated a tremendously successful year with 330 nominations received from across South Australia.
