Second week of Kangaroo Island sail training at yacht club

The second week of Kangaroo Island sail training took place with very favourable conditions for learner sailors with a steady 12 knot wind blowing in from the south.

Knots were practiced before boats were rigged and a holdie was positioned on a rotating cradle and Graham instructed the sailors on how to go about by turning the holdie through the eye of the wind.

Disappointing that only four dingies turned up to sail the Senior class, an interesting mix of one Laser, one Arrow, one Pacer and the Haselgrove boat, so an all boats race was sailed over a 600-metre course with six windward works and return. - The Scribe
