In preparation for International Volunteer Day on Thursday, December 5, employees from Yumbah Aquaculture got together to clean up Emu Bay on Monday morning.

The team led by Yumbah Kangaroo Island manager David Connell, spent the morning removing rubbish and debris from the white sandy beaches of Emu Bay.

Mr Connell said the team was proud to contribute their time and energy to maintain the Island's reputation as a pristine natural wonder.

"We live in such a unique place, and it's important we take pride in keeping it clean for the locals and visitors who enjoy the island's beaches every year," Mr Connell said.

"The Yumbah team always look forward to opportunities to get and help keep our beaches clean, which is something we will continue doing in the future."
