Cleve man remains missing

A day-long search conducted by Cleve Police and the State Emergency Service (SES) using all-terrain-vehicles and drones has failed to produce any new evidence as to the whereabouts of missing man Daryl Norris.

The search took place on Saturday, February 22 through dense vegetated areas close to Cleve and Mr Norris' home address.

Police and family continue to hold grave fears for the welfare of Mr Norris, who was last seen at his home around 8:30pm on Tuesday, February 4.

Police believe Mr Norris left on foot with some food supplies but without any personal items such as a mobile phone or wallet. He did not advise any family or close friends as to where he was going.

There have been no confirmed sightings of Mr Norris since he disappeared, and police fear he could have fallen and injured himself and be in need of medical attention.

Known as a 'family man', Mr Norris is 59 years old and described as Caucasian, 183cm tall, slim build with blue eyes and brown/grey hair. He walks with a limp and was last seen wearing brown cargo shorts and a t-shirt.

Police are renewing their appeal for local residents to check any of their vacant properties including any vacant buildings.

The investigation into Mr Norris' disappearance continues and anyone with information, including anyone who have passed through the town and possibly sighted him, is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
