Kangaroo Island shooters were hoping to aim with cupid's accuracy at the first shoot of the year which coincidentally fell on Valentines Day.
Eleven shooters turned up in glorious sunshine to shoot Gentleman's Pairs - two shooters with two crackers each shooting three clays ... and they still managed to miss them!
The odd person out - Terry Booker, shot with anyone who was available : Glen, Tim or Dave. These duos shot all three clays seven times before Terry had to retire.
Ron Bott and Glen Wingate were first shooters and showed everyone how to do it. Rudi Seljan paired up with Dave Reid and shot an amazing 73/100: and to prove it really was possible to shot all 3 clays did it 9 times. Well done chaps.
A complete newcomer to shooting, Adrian Street from Victoria, paired up with Greg Waller (Weeties) and on their first shot, they hit all three clays, and ended up with a good score of 42.
Really good for someone who has never shot before. Well done Adrian and Weeties.
Another newcomer, Davin Cundy from the Barossa Valley who now lives (and works) on KI, who with Ben Rice shot a score of 53.
Welcome to KI and the Gun Club Davin, and we hope to see you out on the range in future.
Steve Congdon tried out his new firearm, his previous gun melted in last years bush fires. Teeing up with Tim Davis, they missed a lot, but had good fun.
Next shoot will be Field and Game on Sunday 28, lets hope for more good weather.
